Name: OREGON_SHORELINE_PROTECTION_STRUCTURES

Display Field: ORTaxlot

Type: Feature Layer

Geometry Type: esriGeometryPolyline

Description: This data set includes a polyline file of mapped Shoreline Protective Structures (SPS), which corresponds with data records found in the Permits and Repairs tables of this Geodatabase. Linkage between spatial and attribute data tables is through a unique physical identifier in the Structure_ID field and/or the Permit_ID field. Definitions of table fields are provided in this metadata. Locations of the structures have been digitized as polylines on the most landward edge of the SPS. Locations were defined using the most current aerial imagery for that particular region. Aerial imagery used includes 2011 ESRI World Imagery Map (0.3m resolution), as well as 2009 (0.5m resolution) and 2011 (1m resolution) state aerial imagery. Oregon ShoreZone photographs (oblique aerials from June 2011) and field photographs from the 2002 field inventory of SPS, as well as expert knowledge, were also used when applicable. Every tax lot associated with a SPS has its own line segment. These segments are connected, when applicable, to form the complete structure.
